Jayoma Perera
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
If something in your life feels off — even if you can’t quite name it — you’re not alone. Many clients come to therapy feeling stretched thin, self-critical, or unsure how to move forward. Our work together offers a supportive space to slow down, reflect, and find clarity.
I’m a former MD and RP-qualifying psychotherapist, bringing a unique blend of medical insight and therapeutic care into my work. My approach is warm, grounded, and gently light-hearted. I believe therapy works best when it feels human — a space where you can show up just as you are, speak openly, and feel supported without judgment. Together, we focus on building insight and practical tools that help you navigate life with greater clarity and self-compassion.
My work is rooted in humanistic and trauma-informed perspectives, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. I support teens (13+) and adults exploring identity, self-worth, and life transitions, often alongside anxiety, depression, perfectionism, high-achieving environments, relationship challenges, or family stress. I also have experience supporting individuals processing trauma, including PTSD.
Above all, my goal is to offer a calm, supportive space where your experiences are honoured and you feel empowered to move toward growth, healing, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself.
